EAB/Lemon Super League 2010: Round 1 Game Vote

EAB/Lemon Super League 2010: Round 1 Game Vote

Yeah, you remember, right? Time to get the ball rolling on the third season of the Super League (where on Earth does the time go?).

Starts: 00:01 January 3
Finishes: 23:59 January 16

Rules

Full rules are here.

Vote for five games.

Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.

Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. If you don't, then you will get the treat of a PM from me, asking you to change your vote. If you still don't change it your vote will be discounted. If you aren't sure feel free to ask.

Edited votes will be discounted (unless you are told to edit it, and even then you can only edit the game(s) that aren't suitable) - so think before you post. Also you cannot vote for games that have already been played.

Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon. You can only vote once, and also it could cause confusion if you post your vote on both boards - it's easy for it to be counted twice by accident.

If a game comes in ECS and AGA versions, please state if you want to play the AGA version or not in your vote. If you don't specify we will assume you want the ECS version. If that game wins the vote we will count up the number of ECS and AGA votes and go for the version with most votes - unless the two versions of the games are exactly the same gameplay-wise, then we will use both.

As there was a three-way tie for first place in the final round of last season, nobody is given double voting power.

Extras

- Lemon thread

Bugged Games

Lotus 2: The different online versions all have different scoring systems. If Lotus 2 is played everyone must use a special version that will be provided by this board, in WHDload and ADF format (UAE requires A1200 setup, High-Density floppy drive, 4MB Fast RAM).

If you know of any other games that could cause problems please PM me, Biscuit or mihcael.

For starters Spellbound Dizzy doesn't have a scoring system and frankly I don't think any of these games are suitable as they are hardly heavily score-based, they're too long-winded and there aren't even high score tables or anything.

Having seen this and marquisor's vote on Lemon can I ask people to please please please use common sense when voting and actually THINK about how these games are going to work! Thanks

Well, Team EAB has gotten pretty small - so I thought I'll try to keep a bit balance. Also Lemon now has RoboSparkle, jPV, Parpala, mipe and a couple of other very dedicated and skilled players whereas fewer are left here.
Another reason for the change is because that way the EABlers can be remembered of Apidya and Lotus who are getting voted quite frequently at Lemon.

Thanks rexsu and welcome to the darkside John

You are right about Team EAB. Total lack of interest this end. A real shame. Hopefully this will change things a bit.

Hope you'll find time soon. Team EAB needs you.

Wondering also if xpect will support us again this year.

It would be good if we can attract some new faces too. The interest really dwindled during the last few rounds of last season and the Knockout. Before that the level of activity was pretty healthy.

So anyone reading this who hasn't played before... why not give it a shot hey? You'll really enjoy it, honestly. And who knows, maybe it'll also provide more competition at the business end of the leaderboard...

Yes I will.

During the last 6 months I really not had much time to play, because of my professional projects that made me travel a lot and had no time at all to dedicate to gaming. My interest never was minor than it was in the first part of the year just the time wasn't there.

As you may know by now, I only play if I can train and make a score to the best of my abilities, not post some random quick gaming and then never appear again in the round. If it was like that i would be in all rounds but I don't like to participate that way.

So rest assured having the time and the game having the appeal to play, I will for sure participate.

1. Turrican 2
2. New Zealand Story
3. Walker
4. Lotus 1
5. Top Gear 2

@John4p welcome!

Ah, okay - fine (as long as not everyone has that attitude or else this league wouldn't survive too long ).
