EAB/Lemon Super League 2009: Round 5 - Roadkill

EAB/Lemon Super League 2009: Round 5 - Roadkill

Starts: 00:01 May 17
Finishes: 23:59 June 6

Rules

Post screenshots of your scores in this thread, and write your score underneath. You can enter as many times as you like within the round's time frame.

Difficulty level should be set to Medium, and Base Laps set to 3.

No cheating of any kind (including score leeching) - this includes save states. If you suspect a contestant of cheating then don't post it in public (anyone who does so will have their posts edited or deleted) - please PM me, Biscuit or mihcael and we will investigate it. If we find anyone guilty of cheating then they will be banned for the entire season.

Please only post your score on either the EAB or Lemon forums. If you have already played this year you have to post your score on the same forum for the whole season. If you are new, the one you post on first will be your "team" for the whole season. However you are welcome to discuss the compo, game etc. on the other forum if you wish.

Remember, anyone can join in at any time. Have fun and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

My first impressions:
Imho Super Cars II is better !
RoadKill is technically superior, no doubt, but the gameplay is less fun.
I think the game seems too fast, the car is too centered on the screen and the driving is too basic !

I think i will install the game on my 1200 because i killed my eyes with my old LCD on WinUAE

Here, too - the standard AGA version has broken sound (at least in WinUAE).

But the CD32-version (WHDified) works perfect. Get it here: http://www.whdownload.com/games/Pack...32_NoIntro.zip

You mean the WHDLoad version right? The disk version works fine here.

Just use the WHDLoad-package of the CD32-version I posted yesterday. It's only 6 MB and has correct sound.

Good stuff rexsu

We're now into the final week of this round. Come on guys - before this post the EMPL thread on R-Type already had as many posts as this thread and this one's been going for more than two weeks! Wakey wakey

Muahahahahaha Well most of the posts in the EMPL thread are (again) about the options/dip switches/whatever, so the real action is yet quite tame. I will also dedicate one evening this week to improve my score on Roadkill, even though it's really not my cup of tea

Yep you are correct - just highlighting how dead this thread appears to be

I suppose your last few words there probably hit the nail on the head with regards to the relative lack of interest in this round.

Quite. Did i mention this game is kinda lame? But hey, Graham, today i'm gonna starting hitting the walls with my mid screen glued car just to pick some points. So the post count will improve my friend.

Here is my new score: 2,628,000,000
... but this improvement is useless.

The podium is completely inaccessible to me
I don't understand, i completed the game several times (with various cars), destroyed a ton of cars, won several superjackpot and even i'm relegated to more than 1 billion of the first place
It's really frustrating
Sorry Biscuit, I would not be useful for the next round
