Path To Threedom - A Chaos Constructed Mayhem

Thanks to my alpha testers : Dastardly, lilalurl and xpect

Of course the major thanks goes out to Exl who made this possible (again )

Another huge thanks to Dastardly for the logo

Grab your new Chaos Engine (WHDLoad preinstalled) fix at :
Hotlink
or on the EAB file server in the folder 'Game/WHDLoad/Chaos Engine Levels'.

The difficulty is quite high, but it's mainly because you need to know the level

This version is still beta, so please report any bugs you may encounter.

The name is there for a reason There are 3 paths through the level, aswell as a super extra uber hidden 'all-in-one' path (which my hardcore testing homies Dast 'teh fanboi' ardly and lila 'Mr Sneaky' lurl both managed to find without hints )

I hope you have as much fun playing as I had making it

Btw : lilalurl holds the current record with 82% on this level :

Send a message via ICQ to lilalurl
Since I completed Path to Threedom, I am another man.
All women look at me as if I were a rock star. My boss gave me a raise. My nation won the Football World Cup etc...

Try it and you will see the difference. If you are not satisfied after 7 days you can get your money back.

This message was not in any way sponsored by TCD...

Well, more seriously, a pretty enjoyable level. It can be completed relatively quickly but the fun comes when you try to explore and find the secrets and especially the all-in-on path.

Good work TCD, Exl and the other alpha testers.

Yeah top work again TCD. This level is very well designed for different skill/lazyness levels. You can either complete it easily, if you're happy to not explore too much, or it can be a lot more complex, if you're happy to put some extra time in and explore.

Really enjoyed testing it. Everyone should give it a go

Seriously, thanks a lot to you two The level isn't the same since you tested it... and I guess that's a good thing

I tried this and RockingWoods and with both I didn`t noticed a problem. Nice work. Do you plan to make a complete world (4 levels if I remember right)? Levelselectin isn`t possible with the editor I guess and there must be original files repaced. Would be cool to have just the edit files in a dir for easier overwrite action by the user. So, keep on making new levels.

Cheers daxb Well, I will continue to make level(s), but at a slower pace. Next level will be *much* more straight forward, so that might be ready around the end of the month, but don't take my word for it... yes

@Dast
Shut it and make me some tiles biotch!

Hmm, nearly a week has passed and there was no actual feedback about the level. Maybe I should make clear that anything more constructive than 'Ya level suxxorz' is appreciated Really, I need some feedback what might went wrong or maybe noone played it at all? Well, would be nice to hear anything about that level

I've just had the time to take a quick peek into it. Made it through the forest level in a couple of attempts and couldn't get any further. I liked the difficulty curve in the first level (well, it was hardly any difficult at all ) which gets you hooked. It looked like things get much harder from the mudd rivers onwards, but haven't actually tried yet. I know this is not quite helpful, just thought you would like to know we are actually playing with the thing out there!

TCD - going to be a bit difficult to describe this but I completed the PTT level exiting at exit C - I only got around 50% pickups - the next level started which I assume is Rocking Woods and I found myself immediately facing an exit (B) puzzled, I walked straight through it and the level finished immediately - it took me to the level/party total screen where it obviously stated 0% I pressed fire to take me to the next level but in fact I got put back into the PTT level... now I am going from square to circle tele-porting - yet to find a route back out the level...

update - because the nodes are already activated from my first visit, including the exit node - I don't think there is a way out form this state but havimg been thrown back into the level something is already wrong I guess...

Anyone else seen this?

Bit of a strange one - I am using beta2 - is that the latest... I will do a bit more testing today (first real chance I've had)

This is a 'standalone' level release, so any 'side-effects' after finishing the level aren't tested at all (and I'm not really going to do that tbh ). Thanks for giving it a try Peter Would be nice to hear something about the level itself

I'm a harsh tester!
OK - I see - I will test it as a stand alone level - I'm enjoying the level - you have definitely been a bit more devious this time around!!
