Yes, definitely!
Before everyone had the power to upload (and delete?) files, now only the most trusted can (no offence, lol) under certain restrictions of the EAB FTP Police
Good job on the search function, too!

I know what you mean cosmicfrog. I won't put the usual 'if it's legal they don't have to fear anything' speech here, but I really hope that people that have useful stuff to share will recognise that this only should stop the 'black sheeps'. Maybe you can tell them how the process of 'registering' was then

Hey Magix,

Sorry to nitpick again about this, but please fix this sentence:

Even if released for free, a software can still be copyrighted. Don't confuse legal terms. Copyright is a broad term that includes intellectuial property, distribution, reproduction and many other rights. I'd say all of the stuff available at the FTP is copyrighted!

You explained pretty well what can't be uploaded, the other -still copyrighted- material is OK. It's not like any of the once commercially available games are now public domain (like abandonware alleges).

That aside, keep up the usual amazing work for the amiga community

Good thing!

But might it be possible to sort the TOSEC Games folder into single alphbetical folders? Like #,A,B,C,...Z
Because it is really hard to open one folder containing 21.000 files...

Yes it is thanks Magix, and always have been for the work he's making for the community.
And now we also have to thank all the others Musketeers for maintaining this awesome place of Amiga software preservation.
So, DamienD, Graham and TCD, a big thanks! With your help we get a more organized and useful place to go.

And thanks also for all the contributors who've uploaded their stuff (myself included ) for their time and bandwidth.

Sirs, a round of applause for all of you.
