EAB/Lemon Super League 2014: Round 5 Game Vote

EAB/Lemon Super League 2014: Round 5 Game Vote
Starts: 00:01 March 23 Finishes: 23:59 April 5

Rules

Full rules are here.

Vote for five games.

Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.

Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. Edited votes will be discounted (unless told otherwise) so think before you post. Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon.

If a game comes in ECS and AGA versions, please state your preference in your vote. In the event the versions differ gameplay-wise, the version with most votes will be played. ECS is the default if you don't specify.

The winners of Round 4 have double voting power for Round 5. (1 = 10 points, 2 = 8 points etc). However, because the voting for the next round ends before the current round ends, players must place their votes and wait for the current round to end to see who will have their vote doubled. If one person wins both games in Round 4 their vote is trebled.

Tactical or nosey voters can see the Lemon voting thread here.

Does this vote end today or on the 12th like it says above?

I can only speak for myself, but I do wonder whether the reason votes haven't been flooding in recently is because it's so hard to think of decent suitable games that haven't been played before. With that said, here are my 5:

1. Datastorm
2. Continental Circus
3. Total Recall
4. Blood Money
5. Pinball Prelude

I don't really know the last two, but I need to fill my up list so I've copied them from above.

Oops! You're right, that should have read the 5th. The dangers of copy and paste.

I suspect there's a large amount of truth in what you write. However, there are still quite a large number of games out there for us to play - just that the majority of the most famous ones have now gone (except for the open rounds) so it does make it a bit harder to choose. But it's also potentially a great opportunity to play games that often sneak under the radar a little. We've still had 34 different games voted for so far even though we're currently on course for the fewest number of votes ever (yes, I am sad enough to keep all sorts of stats), although Lemon being down for days probably hasn't helped.

I could rattle off a reasonably-sized list of games we could yet play but I won't do it yet as I don't want to have any influence on any votes that might still come in.

@ capehorn: LIST OF NEVER PLAYED GAMES is Harry's list from 2013. Some of these have come up already (SB2, Snow Bros, Klax, CC3 etc) and the rest are all well worth a look. This is not a complete list and I'm sure there are more.

@ Graham. May I suggest locking the EAB votes thread today but not doing the count until Lemon is back up, and then use that date as the final day to vote on the Lemon side. If this is not possible, perhaps any Lemoners waiting to vote could still do so on this page today?

I guess the problem is that we don't know when Lemon is going to be back up. I have already counted all the votes on that side - having said that there's a possibility I could have missed a new one in the time between my last log in and the site going down. I'll have to have a think but in the meantime I would urge any Lemoners who haven't voted yet to vote on here insead.

I've no idea as I don't keep a list of exactly who has voted - so I'll leave it for now until the site comes back.

Voting is now over.

I would usually give the results now but owing to Lemon's disappearance I can't be sure I have accounted for every single vote, and when it comes back I will probably give them a little longer to get votes in should they need it.

Obviously if we get a long way into next week and it's still not back we'll have to go with what we've got.

Well, it helped me to remember my votes (as Akabei), although it doesn't look like any game from my list will make it.

I'm fairly confident Lemon won't be back in time and I will not be here most of tomorrow so here are the results I have got and we'll go by this...

1. Hybris - 15
2. Car Vup - 11
3= Indianapolis 500 - 10
3= Rick Dangerous 2 - 10
5. Stardust - 9

Total votes: 13 - Total games voted for: 44

Also with double votes still to be applied it could change yet...
