I have bought some 27c322 blank roms, how do i go about copying an existing rom chip, there seems to be lots of guides to burning the roms from a KS file....but can you not just copy the original rom chip?

@Doogie
you wont need to if you copy directly from the ROM my friend, I believe is the case. I was going to ask if i need to swap the bytes on a GVP SCSI rom file, one of the later bables |

Naturally no byte swap needed if you make a copy of a ROM chip.
8-bit wide ROMs won't need a byte swap. |

@Doog
You already have it my friend, to save any error put the 27128 programmed chip I sent you last year into your programmer "Read it" & then save it to file. you can prog as many as you like then, no byte swaps or anything req, just read & write. I advise programming the updates on spare Eproms mind, dont erase & overwrite your originals until the new ones have been verified, tested & you are SURE !!! you have been warned. TC File also available from here, just unarchive it & Burn!!!!! http://babel.de/download/gvpscsi4.hex.bz2 |

Ive got the ROM's for the A2091 (V7) & A2620 but not the A2630, Zetty may have the A2630..
Iv'e uploaded A2091 to the Zone for you TC update........... Actually Doog follow the link below & see if you agree with me.... http://www.softhut.com/cgi-bin/test/...&cart_id=52674 The replacement ROM part numbers for A2620/2630 are the same ????? PCB Location ROM Part No.-- A2620--- A2630 390282-07 ----- U4 ----- U102 390283-07 ----- U5 ----- U103 Therefore uploading the A2620 ROM images to the zone for you too..
