Having to delete all the temporary files? What operating system are you using?

i tried 3.9Dev (of course is developer version, so i think much back than final version) on WinUAE in 2 configuration: RTG and AGA.
With RTG version is ok and load any pages but for youtube it require to have 1 GB RAM because video are converted in RAM Disk.
AGA version in a configuration typical, so 68030, 128 MB and cycle exact to more or less emulate 28 Mhz 68030 (on readme is quoted that run on 68030 with 32 MB)
10 seconds to open main screen, 42 seconds to load a google seach and don't load Youtube page.
It crash when i click on option button.

RTG version is fully functional.

yes, of course it depends by video sizes, but on youtube you can find also video bigger than 300 MB or more. Best solution is to play video in real time.

Even a PC with little RAM would have trouble converting large files to MP4.

i found a solution. By replacing Thors 68060.library from the MMU package with the original Apollo 1260 library it worked.

Both with Netsurf 3.9 and 3.10 the browser opens fine, but the screen is completely black. Something with screenmodes? I remember it did work some days ago.

Are you using WinUAE or AMIGA genuine?

Are you using screen PAL or RTG (Which one?)

Real A4000 with CSPPC, Mediator and Voodoo 3. 3.1.4 ROMs and AOS 3.1.4.1.
Both when running Netsurf AGA & Netsurf (in RTG 1280x720 in 16bit color both PC and none PC) I get a back screen. AGA full screen - black screen, RTG window with black screen in window.

If it worked well before, try replacing the configuration file "Options".

Can't see anything weird in the options file. Copied over an original one from the archive. Also a fresh extract of 3.8 now gives me a black screen. Very weird.

Update, found what causes it, but not how to fix it.

When Roadshow is configured with DHCP enabled Netsurf works.
If DHCP is off and I configure IP address, subnetmask, gateway, dns myself it doesn't work. Apparently I miss out on a manual config then, but no clue what (default domain maybe?).

Another update: If you have roadshow set to manually configure IP address etc. make sure you add a domain proporty in the nameserver settings file.

A friend and I have been talking back and forth trying to get wget to work in Netsurf 3.9 DEV. Our setups are the same except he's using WinUAE and I'm using FS-UAE.

I had problems with most of the wget binaries on Aminet not being recognized as valid commands but v. 1.81 seems to be working. I have wget and ffplay in SYS:C/ and I have the ixemul and ixnet libraries in SYS:libs/.

When I click on a Youtube video I get a KingCON message, "type wget -h for help" and file gets downloaded to Ram Disk:T/ but stops.

If I type wget followed by the video's URL in a shell, I get "unrecognized scheme." A comment above mentioned "CLI must support long file names" and I'm certain mine does not. I've searched Aminet for a package to address this but I'm a bit confused by the choices and which one might work.

Any help or nudge in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks!

To not receive that error message use the NetSurf Internal command WGet, see screenshot.

On NetSurf FFPlay with Youtube it hasn't worked for a long time, probably because of the service that was downloading the video.

Well, that explains that! Have you tried the alternative of getting an API code from Cloudconver dot com and using RiVA? That was going to be my next adventure. Thanks a lot for the info - very much appreciated!

Well...from what I can see, even the mpeg-1 RiVA option still needs wget to grab the file - and it can't because it is no longer supported. I have a valid API key and KingCON returns "Valid API Key Decrunching" but nothing is being downloaded to the temporary directory.

Oh well...

Update NetSurf SDL v3.10 Available through Auto Update feature

* Updated to newest sources. Core changelog.
* Integrated AmiSSL for https support. Version 4.6 recommended. Older versions are unstable.
Note: make sure you have current time and local region set on your WB.
* Updated libjpeg from jfif-44.13 jpeg datatype by Henryk Richter.
* Fixed Enforcer Hits.

Problems I've encountered:

- Youtube videos no longer supported (WGet no check certificate and Invalid Host name)
- Request reporting errors cannot be closed
