A500™ 512Kb RAM trapdoor memory expansion. - new revision available



This high quality, low cost memory expansion doubles your Commodore Amiga 500 computer's memory. Extra memory is essential for many games which require 1MB of RAM to work.

System RAM will be increased from the standard 0.5MB (512kb) to 1MB (1 megabyte).

Installation is straight forward process: simply slot the A500™ memory expansion into the trapdoor slot. The trapdoor bay is covered by a small plastic door underneath the Commodore Amiga 500 computer which can be easily levered open. There is no need to unscrew, open or disassemble your computer.

Memory expansion features Real Time Clock header to install optional Real Time Clock module: available installed at special price below or available separately here.

Important note about inferior third-party expansions: our A500™ Memory Expansion features resistor arrays on board to limit the rising/falling edge of some high speed signals. Without these noise can be introduced and result in memory working unreliably. Unlike our tried-and-tested design, some third-party budget boards cut costs and do not feature the resistor arrays which can lead to memory reliability issues.

The board on 1MB seems to suggest it can be used on A500 at 512K yet description states only for A500 Plus?

There are two versions:

A500 0.5MB version (1x RAM chip on the board):

You probably notice that both versions share the same PCB.

I wish the 1.5mb version would work in a A500 so i could have 2mb chip...with mods....Fat Agnus would it work...?
