Paolo the directory structure is what you see in the screenshot, no assignment is needed, the engine attached by you is older (it works anyway), the most recent is HERE, in this archive there are other files with the extension .so, that I do not remember what they're for, but they are not necessary to start Quake 3 both Off-line and On-line
Hi, Cowcat
thanks for the work, it works very well apart from some artifact but it's nice to see Amiga with quake 3 for me and for others who feel passion for this system..also using winuae :-) Thank you! [ Show youtube player ] |

Alright !!!. ...Now, those sky artifacts didn't show up on my system (some stuff needs to be tweaked on wazp3d configuration? ). But those NET messages....cannot pinpoint now where is the problem as they not appear in my system but as commented on Q3 thread, on ppc emulated systems 68k Q3 can't be played on single mode but on local net with another computer doing the server task. But no NET messages happen.

@Cowcat
Thanks for the suggestions, I tried some tests to see if the artifacts disappeared, but I could not. The only way to remove artifacts is to disable "high quality sky" I leave 4 screenshots of wazp3D and preferences in quake 3 I am however very happy with these results I also tried to change some settings in 32 bit winuae but with no result. Here my wazp3d configuration Thank you Last edited by White; 09 January 2021 at 18:11. |

Hello guys
I am the Wazp3d author and I am trying to reproduce the sky bug But Inside Q3_68k_pre6.lha+Wazp3D I can run the demo fine but not the one player game that crash Is there a special setting for this 68k build ? like stack nnn ? or run from cli ?? Perhaps You should join a readme to the 68k binary describing "how to run it" |

Ciao thellier, you can run the Quake 3 engine from CLI or from Icon works fine anyway, about the Stack I use StackAttack, I tried to disable StackAttack and Quake3 also starts regularly with default Stack.
You're sure you have the game data! I attach sceenshot where you can see directory structure and required software Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 13 November 2018 at 08:53. |

Are you running it from a ppc machine? If it is the case, you need another machine with same game acting like a server, then connect to it. Q3 68k emulated on ppc fails. |

Bear in mind that there are some problems with vbcc minigl (alignment?) but Wazp3d kinda solves those for what I saw in the videos. No problem however for 68k emulation in ppc and the sky rendering (doing the server - client route) for what I tested.

Hello
I was trying it in WinUAE/68k/Wazp3D OK I see I dont have D.library (waht is that ?) bsdsocket.library minigl.library keymap.library Where do they come from ? need a special Winuae version ? Note: some time ago I also tried the old 68k binary on a Sam460 ppc and ditto the demo worked but not the one player game... Can i disable the networks play ? as I only want to see the sky bug... |

By the way, those *.so should be in Baseq3/ for faster performance as I said yesterday.

- minigl.library (it is not strictly necessary to start Quake3) D.library and keymap.library, they are not physically on the system, they will probably be resitant libraries - You tried to use Snoopdos while running Quake3 - What operating system are you using? - What kind of error you have? - You have set up WinUAE JIT + FPU ? With an AFA-OS or Amikit system without problems. Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 29 October 2018 at 14:35. |

I am using my uusal old 3.9 hardfile with winuae and Wazp3D The quake 3 demo runs fine and fast on this config but not the game : enforcer screams lots of hits = certainly something is missing |
