Amiga 2000 Floppy Drive Issues (CIA?)

I was transferring files from my pc to my Amiga 2000 via a USB to Serial cable. I dragged and dropped three floppy images to transfer. Somewhere between the second and third floppy image my computer shut off. I flipped the physical on/off switch off and then flipped it to the on position. The computer booted up fine. But now, when I put a floppy into any drive (DF0:, DF1:, or DF2: external) it shows up greyed out and says DF0: Unreadable. (or DF1: Unreadable or DF2: Unreadable). Am I looking at replacing the CIA chips? Any ideas? Cheers.

It could also easily be the floppy drive itself having suffered a short. The safest option would be to try another floppy drive (maybe borrow one from someone nearby if you don't have another one). Where are you in the UK?
