Indivision AGA on a CRT VGA monitor
Hello everyone and Merry Christmas to all
![]() I have an Indivision AGA MK2 on my A1200 and I would like to test it on a CRT VGA monitor. So my question basically is; Is this the closest approach I can get to the image quality that I was getting from games with my old 1084 monitor? |

Maybe with color depths etc it's better than most flat screens, but Indy mk2 still can't do vsync, so scrolling/movement isn't as smooth as in a real thing.

I got lucky and within 24 hours of winning my A1200 on eBay, I found two compatible CRTs (i.e., 50Hz-vertical/30kHz-horizontal): Samsung SyncMaster 997MB 19" CRT, and a Compaq FS7600e 17" CRT (brand new!). Finally got a US power supply for my EU Amiga just today so will be able to see those images soon on my Samsung and Compaq monitors. Last edited by studio460; 27 June 2019 at 08:09. |

Thanks, thats nice. Definitely a CRT looks way better. Im missing my 1084 monitor that I have seating in storage until I find a way to fix it but looking on how good the Indivision looks on the VGA monitor with either high and low resolutions it will be the monitor that I'll use from now on. Keep us posted once you connect your Amiga to the CRT monitors. |
