Joystick Prototype #2
Dear EAB,
As you may know, I have recently completed the first prototype for my arcade-quality-Atari-controller-on-a-budget (loosely based on the TAC 2 and Competition Pro but with a Seimitsu LS-56-01 joystick and Sanwa OBSF-30 buttons). After some feedback (the enclosure being too large and the paint prone to scratching along with the jigsaw-puzzle-like assembly method of the enclosure itself), I've decided to work on a second prototype (this time inspired by the CP's successor, "The Arcade"). After much CAD work, I've narrowed it down to two (2) shapes for the enclosure - octagonal and quadrilateral. I've redesigned the octagonal enclosure to make it a little more ergonomic (the joystick would now go in the centre, with the single fire button now relocated at the very front and centre instead of being on the base).
