Flashing a DB9-->USB Retronic adaptor?
I'm trying to flash my DB9-->USB adaptor but the program HIDBootFlash.exe doesn't work for me. I've tried it on both Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows 7. The error message isn't very illuminating either, as it just says the program wasn't "installed correctly," or "configuration is not correct".
Does anyone have experience with this? Did the program work for you? What could be wrong on my end, since it's not working? I've followed the instructions here: http://www.retronicdesign.com/en/usb...rade-tutorial/ |

OK, in Win 2000 it tells me which dll files are missing, and after I add them, the program starts, and appears to flash the device, alas, it will then not work in FS-UAE.
Has anyone tried Sega-controller with FS-UAE? |

Have you opened the controller configuration panel in Windows and verified that the controller 1) is visible and 2) its buttons ca be read by Windows?

Also, am I right in assuming that FS-USA aught to be able to auto-configure my retronic-SEGA controller, since it could do that with my retronic-Amiga-joystick setup? |

The device does not show up in "game-controller" under XP's controlpanel. There is the "usb-thing-connected" sound when I plug it in though. Not sure how a "real" game controller would behave.

It looks like the device is not recognized by Windows so maybe the firmware does not work. Have you tried re-flashing it? |

Nope, doesn't turn up.
I tried flashing it two three times, seems to work. My intention is to use it on my raspberry pi, which I'll get next week, but I'll see then if it worked or not. I wonder how I can check it under GNU/Linux? Like an xev equivalent? |

I am afraid I cannot help any further. You are probably best of contacting the creators of the device: http://www.retronicdesign.com/en/contact/.
