Start = before GUI appears or when emulation is started? (Check that icon does not have any extra command line parameters)

I just Installed beta 4 in WinXP (WMC 2005) SP3 and everything works O.K.
EDIT: You're not using AVG are you. My XP Install uses AVG as MS Essentials stopped working. Now I can't use the new beta with it switched on. It detects a Virus and gives me 2 options: Delete the file or Ignore. If I choose Ignore, AVG stops me using WinUAE.exe. Anyone recommend another free AV software to use. Does Windows Defender work well with XP? Last edited by Arnie; 22 July 2015 at 22:07. |

Antivirus vendors usually have some method of reporting false positives.
But back to original topic: If display does not reset too quickly, run winuae from command prompt with -log parameter. Does winuae log window open before it crashes? And if it opens, does any messages appear before reset? |

First, I turned off my antivirus (Avast) and now, during the start WinUAE displays a message "WinUAE has encountered a problem and needs to close.". Should I attach report file?
Attempt to run from command line, with -log parameter crashes a computer. |

Yes, to me he did on a PC with XP and was not installed AVG, NOD32 I had. The crash occurred to me only with versions of WinUAE after the release 2.3.1, the crash (with restart PC) took place after the second launch of WinUAE, the first performance many times did not happen.
