ACA 620 Installation Problems

I just received the card for amigakit and upon installation I get a blank white screen and nothing happens.

When I took the card out, it runs fine, could my accelerator card by faulty?

The manual did say that i needed a bit of pressure applied to it so I did and all I get is a white screen and nothing else.

Could anyone help me out with that?

Ok I applied more pressure on the card so it can hold, now my amiga won't even turn on.

Hi. Try loosening the card slightly. Then reboot and see what happens.
Otherwise connect and reconnect the card a few times. It may help wake up/clean the amigas connector.

There are two common problems:

1) dirty pins on the 68000, like Adrian mentioned
2) cracked solder joints on the 68000

Ok the power works and the card works now, I had to apply a bit of pressure that the contact pins are working, as for the not powering on issue, people say that I need to replace the capacitors as they are too old to handle the current.
