1001 video games you must play before you die

Hello all,

This interested me, so I thought it may interest you good people too.

http://www.listchallenges.com/1001-v...before-you-die

I only scored 194!! (may have forgotten I’d played a few of the games TBH)

I started really well but the more modern it got the less I have played, I really should stay in more

I’m certain there are members on here will have played a lot more than that.

I think there are quite a few great games they have omitted.

Games from the Amiga era which I think should have been included;
Turrican 2
Shadow of the Beast
The Chaos Engine
Moonstone
SWIV
Alien Breed
Xenon 2
Super Cars 2
James Pond
Putty
It came from the desert

At least!!

So I’m going to give myself an extra 11 points for playing those too

From other platforms

Frost Byte, Atari 2600
Soul Reaver, PS1
Destruction Derby, PS1
Golden Axe, Arcade
Buzz junior games, PS2
Angry Birds, IOS
Simpsons, Arcade
TMNT, Arcade
Rampage, Arcade

What’s your score and what games do you think are missing?
(Just a bit of fun guys don’t worry if it’s a low score, it’s good to share)

211. Not a great return considering how well known a lot of these games are. Struggled a bit towards the end there.

This is a test to prove that you can get people to do even the most tedious things as long as you associate it with entertainment, right!?

334 so 1/3 of the games. I'm pleased with that, hopefully will play a few more before I die!

It's great fun going though all those old games. A bit like going through your old photo album of loved ones.

Can't think of a better spent 30mins well ok maybe there are a few things I can think of

Some good scores coming in putting mine to shame.

The list isn't too far off mentioning nearly all of the important games of the last 30 yrs is it?

I only scored 171 and that comes a lot down to never getting into console games and giving PC gaming quite literally the flick in 2005

I'm moderately happy that I own some of these as real arcade PCBs. :-D

Total score only 252 though. Lots of Nintendo console titles and I didn't really ever care about Nintendo at all.

Typical of USA based surveys though. The only non-pc computer games there were for the Apple II.. :-P

Low scores don't really matter, so long as you tick all the Amiga titles

Are there any on the list you'd half forgotten about but brought back some great memories? For me I think it was combat on the 2600. Such a great 2 player game, I loved beating my mates at invisible tanks

Devlin your only problem is you're going to have to play all the rest too.

I've still unfinished Amiga games from back in the day.

And that's not including those from the ZX Spectrum, PSone, PS2, etc..... Brain freeze trying to work out how many hours, days, weeks, months I'd need to accomplish this! Now I wonder if I can get a repeat prescription for Pro Plus?

Quite a lot of the ones i'd played were quite bad and shouldn't be on the list.
