That can be a problem with some Amiga Games That Weren't (aGTW), unfortunately.

I have grabbed DaraAmiga.lzx (1.29MB) from the Web Archive:
http://web.archive.org/web/200211211...f/engines.html
It's in The Zone for you. The archive contains the Fortress of Fear v1.03 Demo, which is the version featured on HOL.

The other links are broken, I'm afraid.

I'm sorry. That appears to be the best we can do at the moment.

That is unless the remainder of the missing files can be found elsewhere...

Amiga Future 77 CD-ROM contained all files of the unreleased game Fortress of Fear (90MB).

Edit: That file (FortressOfFearMATERIAL.lha, 94.31MB) can be downloaded here:
http://www.amigafuture.de/downloads....acd080d16712fe
(For some reason, I had to disable my antivirus webshield to download it)

It appears to contain nothing beyond version 1.01, but it does include the PC version FoFV1.zip archive for Win95, DirectX5, which I have uploaded to The Zone.

I should have looked inside the FortressOfFearMATERIAL.lha archive a bit more thoroughly last night, but it was getting late.

Lo and behold, in the HOMEPAGE/ENGINES subdirectory are the AMIGAFOFV102.LHA and RITTERAMIGA.LHA files we had thought were missing!

The RITTERAMIGA archive contains the Ritter.bmp file which is needed to get the AMIGAFOFV103 version in the DaraAmiga.lzx archive running properly (see the readme file in the DaraAmiga.lzx archive for details).

The Ritter.bmp file, when added to the files in the DaraAmiga.lzx archive, comprises the complete Fortress of Fear v1.03 Demo version!

In case you didn't get around to downloading the FortressOfFearMATERIAL.lha file, I am uploading the AMIGAFOFV102.LHA and RITTERAMIGA.LHA files to The Zone for you.

I've had no time to run it yet. I've been too busy trying to make sense of all the files.

Next time I have an excuse to get my Amiga set up (that could be tomorrow! ), I will try it. I'm looking forward to seeing that scenery in action.

PS. Did you download the 94MB archive? There's a lot of extra files in it.

I don't know why my antivirus program stopped me from downloading it (it kept stopping after 20MB or so) It's not infected.
