Let's call it karma. Or something.
If you've read my intro post in the new members forum, and I wouldn't assume I'm interesting interesting enough to think you necessarily have, you will already know that I've returned to the Amiga scene to reignite an old hobby as new.
So given the circumstances involved in why I've gone in search of you lot I'm due a run of good luck, right? Right? So I picked this up today.
So obviously this is the 1200. The case itself is in great shape! Very little if any yellowing though the keys are just a touch yellow. Still damn good though. And it booted up to Workbench quicker than CrunchBang Linux does on my laptop The picture's a bit cack as the computer's just hooked up over video to my TV. Not bad all the same though. The previous owner has left a ton of stuff on the HD spread across four partitions which will be fun trawling through. SysInfo's on there for example. I can do without the FPU... And a whole bunch of games. Man, some of these bring back memories! So how much did I pay for all this? Would you believe £40 including delivery? I barely believe it but that's exactly what it was. Like I said, let's call it karma or something. |

You got yourself a nice bargain there Congratulations on the deal and 40 quid is a really good price for the lot
Edit: Just read 'Blizzard 68030 50MHz and 8MB RAM' You sure that you got all that for 40? Because that's a really good deal then |

Yep!!! The guy had all of this on eBay for £30 buy it now. He was about three hours drive away but a work colleague was heading down his direction for the weekend anyway. He agreed to collect, I gave him £10 for his trouble and this lot is now mine. I still can't believe it myself. |

Really great deal you have there and good to know it'll put to good use instead of just being sold on for a profit
Welcome to EAB and I'm sure you'll have a great time with your new Miggy |

I don't remember to have seen such a bargain ... never.
So the Smilie to use is this: . Well, or this: LOL. By the way the Logic3 seems to be a cool pad. I was looking one on a video a couple of days ago. I had one for the PC, but would like to read opinions for the Amiga version. Edit: Ups! Forget it, it's the mice you've got, not the pad. Sorry. Last edited by Retrofan; 18 September 2013 at 00:15. |

Can't that Blizzard be upgraded to 64MB? If so it is very easy to find exstra ram for it for next to nothing

Hi again, Jonathan.
Wow! What a lucky haul you got there! Well done! I looked at this thread quickly yesterday, but I didn't realize it was you that had snagged it. Well, I guess that gets your projector project off to a good start! |

So I took the trapdoor off to see what model this accelerator card is and going through the Big Book Of Amiga Hardware it looks like I've been especially lucky in that this looks like a Blizzard Mk IV. Here's my accelerator. Yes - MY accelerator, the one I got for £30 with a free A1200 and hard drive and external drive and games and a Squirrel SCSI adapter. You know. That one. It's a Mk IV, right? Apparently this thing will take a 128 MB SIMM, is that right? Man, and to think the hard drive I put into my A1200 back in the 90s was 80 MB. |
