Unlike bitman and his Commodore A4000T, the rules won't change every few days.

I didn't set a price because I didn't know what people would be willing to pay for such a beast. This is to let me get a real idea of what it is worth.

As for fees, on the previous one I sold, Ebay hit me up for 10% of the final cost, and then Paypal hit me up with another 3 or 4%, so it really added up.

Go to Amibay. State a price (high if you want), buyer to pay paypal fees, wait. Sale = good, No Sale = Wait more or drop price.

Pretty much that. If you want to get an idea of what it's worth to people, post a thread asking for valuations on the usual Amiga forums, then put it up for sale for the price that seems popular with others and agreeable with you.

its not a good idea to ask whats its worth on a site like amibay,you wont get an answer as its against the rules.

I'm a little cautious about amibay. I keep an eye out there from time to time. I find their guides section more interesting to me than the selling side.

I could be wrong, but it seems like 95% of the items offered for sale are between Europeans, and I'm in North America, so I'm usually shut out due to high shipping costs.

I plan to post weight and package dimensions later today in case anyone is interested in the shipping costs.

There's plenty of US people on Amibay, and a full system like that might gather interest anywhere in the world even with higher shipping costs.

An A4000T from Escom measures 20" tall x 7" wide x 20.25" deep....

I'd seriously consider upping the box size from 24 x 24 x 7 or the recipient could be handling a box of damaged goods. For a secure shipping carton something of that mass, you need more than 2 inches each side for sure.

It's the same box that it came in. It has PC Tower-sized styrofoam edge covers as well as an enormous amount of bubble wrap.

I sold one on ebay a couple of months ago, in the same packaging, and the recipient said it made it safely with no problems.
