Being in the UK I find old epsiodes of the computer chronicles US tv show on Youtube really interesting.
For instance Gary Kildall one of the presenters actually wrote CP/M and also was actually offered the IBM OS contract deal before bill gates. [ Show youtube player ] In the episode from 1985 linked above Jack Tramiel ex commdore cheif now working for Atari is pushing the Atari 520ST, the Amiga had not yet been released and there was a section mentioning the "Amiga" from a commodore spokesman. Commodore bit is at 14:00 ![]() Last edited by Amigan123; 26 June 2013 at 20:47. |

More Chronicles on Youtube
Here another good one featuring the "New" amiga 3000.
Also Disney is featured for creating an animation package for amiga. And Hewlett Packard used an Amiga for there graphics capabilities, amazing really. [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by Amigan123; 28 June 2013 at 23:49. |

I used to watch Computer Chronicles almost every week on PBS, that was a very good show and I'm glad it was preserved.

Here is an excellent episode of Micro Live from 1985 featuring the first model Amiga.
They even show the motherboard and talk about the custom chips as well as Deluxe Paint. ![]() [ Show youtube player ] |

http://bad-influence.co.uk By the way Nam Rood is now acting as a hospital porter in "The Royal" he was also a fireman in coronation street! And if you want a real laugh there was a really expensive games magazine in the early 90's called Click 16bit Magazine! that had a VHS tape stuck on the front featuring very low budget video reviews of games, before Youtube existed, sticking a massive tape to a mag was the only means of distribution LOL, great nostalgia value though. And the actor that now plays Max Branning in Eastenders was one of the reviewers, see link below. ![]() [ Show youtube player ] The virtuality headsets featured are really funny, they look so heavy, now we have the Occulust Rift coming out! |

Nam Rood is still getting paid work? I've heard it all now! I remember all these shows well, I even spent real money on the Christmas issue of Click... and you know what? I don't think I was disappointed at the time. Oh to be so easily pleased again.
