a nice monitor that works

hi there today ive been trying my 1200 out on several tv,s.

best 1 by far is the cheapo accoustic solutions lcd tv,s .

using the rgb to scart cable i can run all modes laced with no flicker , and a crystal clear display.
fantastic tv monitor and there cheap and work ace with no flicker.

just thought i would say they do dif sizes and tried several and all the same so you could have the 19 22 or like 32 um yummy.

yes took miggy down m8,s shop tried a load and this was best 1 so brought it.

but what screen sizes are supported by the rgb to scart?
and what about composite ill try and see what happens.
i got ham 6 working no flickers there , would help if i could remember how to use workbench lol.

and i thought it did 16m colors?

Yes, photos, please. I'm saving to buy a new Tv , 26 or 32"

BTW, how did you try it on several Tv's? Did you go there with the miggy and cables or what?

This will be something like 720x576 mode thus no sense to go over hires - perhaps on VGA input s-hires will work correctly (if tv producer forget to turn off H-Sync for 15kHz).

There is no real limit to the horizontal resolution that a TV can receive on an analog input, although it might not have the bandwidth to show it all (it will just go blurry if it can't).
My TV is fine though with super hires laced over rgb scart, although I wouldn't go higher than 720x576 as it gets stretched weirdly in super-hires (plus the sensitivity on the mouse is too small for such a resolution).

Im using super hi res laced on my 22" Samsung Widescreen Lcd at the moment, I really quite like it as Its a wide resolution so I can use the monitor in widescreen. Only problems are keeping enough chipmem free and having to put it back into 4:3 mode when watching demos and playing games.

all 15KHz modes will be supported, i.e. pal and ntsc, but depending on the horizontal physical resolution of your display, super hires may not bring anything extra..

the modes supported by composite are the same, it will just look a lot crappier

also, the number of colors is completely unrelated to any of this... you can use any depth/color mode you like.

This was my point - if TV capture (sample) SCART RGB with 13.5MHz (27MHz) there is no sense to go for higher resolution (unless we doing oversampling - but this is quite costly from Amiga bandwidth point of view).
There is sense to go higher with resolution (in Amiga case S-Hires) if VGA (PC) input can work with 15kHz signal (rarely) - usually filters on VGA(PC) input will accept signals with bandwidth around 120MHz (way above Amiga video bandwidth).

Second side is deinterlacing for video signal (very bad from Amiga point of view).

Any LCD will get rid of the flickering that interlace mode produces. You WILL get artifacts from it though, try moving the mouse pointer quickly.
