My new A2000!

This is my first ever A2000 which I picked up today, sorry about the quality of the pics prior to the build my Camera battery died so they were taken after it was assembled.

Here's the lid which is in fairly good condition, I may try paining it back to the original colour (the metals) Plastics will remain as is.

A couple of shots on the desk whilst seting up a workbench, CWB GAAE as I'm on KS2.0

Cards installed, we have a Zorro IDE card, HC+2 with 2mb - SCSI HDD was dead, just using for the Ram at the moment as I have no GVP Simms for the GVP 030 Combo, so just the 4mb onboard.

There's also a Retina Z2 but it's pretty poor to be honest, I'm looking for a PicassoII to replace this with.

Sorry you can't see much of the GVP - I managed the snag this free with an A4000, the guy didn't know much about it but it came fully boxed and looked like it had never been used... It's 40mhz 030 + FPU.

This is 800x600 via the Retina Emu driver, just getting to grips with it at the moment:

SYSInfo screens:

As you can see RGB-Scart is actually better than the Retina output!!!

A few more pics after the build, CF replaced with proper HDD and back to native output for now!

Next plans are as said a Picass II RTG card and I have a Highway USB out for repair that I should get back soon.

Some more Ram in the GVP and hook up the CDROM.

Truly a beautiful machine. Nice find! There's some guy/lass selling A2000s out at on ebay... But pick up only... Grrr I hate that, Gippsland is waaaaaaaaaaay too far to get the machine. If the A2000 was good enough for NASA, it's good enough for me
