Amiga to Amiga system link compatibility

I was thinking of picking up a null modem cable for my Miggy so that I could link two Amiga 1200`s up for a gaming session with friends. The thing is that one machine is a 68030 and the other a 68040, would this course sync problems bewteen the machines? Also anyone know how WHDLoad games would perform when linked?

I have linked 2 miggys with different setups together succesfully . One was an A1200 with Bliz 030 and the other an A1200 with Bliz 060.

Cool, can you recommend some decent games to try and were they WHDLoad versions?

Settlers was always a good game to play via a link. I seem to remember playing Populous as well back in the day.

Ah yes Settlers, I remember playing that one in my youth but never really got that far, loved the look and the sound of the game though...perhaps now being older but not necessarily wiser I can enjoy it more.

Lotus 2 will most certainly be on the priority list, Interested to try Xtreme racing...I suppose it`s time to scan the threads for a complete list

Settlers III is the one to go for.

^ Settlers III is not as good as the original in my view. Btw, I don't seem to recall it was available for the Amiga..

Yeah didn`t think they made any sequels to settlers on Amiga, ah well that`s no problem, first one is plenty good enough I am surprised to find out just how many games that were linkable on the old Miggy. Good times
