WHDLoadcd32, generic remapping buttons tooltype

I was just wondering if its possible to implement generic remapping of keyboard keys to cd32 buttons? Or is there some general input/reading issue like slowdowns?

There’s been a couple of really nice patches such as the latest Battle squadron update (thanks Psygore!). But instead of patching each game individually, a remapping of keys to a buttons would probably solve most of the issues in the “cd32 controller petition” thread..

Most of the issues fall under one of the following
Code:
F1-> F2      Select user/Start game 1-2 player game/Table
1-> 2        Select user/Start game 1-2 player game
Space        Custom weapon/Inventory screen
Return Close any high score/name entry screen
P            Pause game
