I'm curious to know what core changes they've made. Most of the other emulators these guys have released are GUI upgrades only.

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=718697

Reading this they've not changed anything. Fixed one memory leak in HD emulation

I suppose anything is better than nothing.

* If the file selected is (or contains) a file with the extension .whd the emulator will mount that file to DH1: and set DH0: to point to D:\\_whdload.hdf. So two things... make sure your WHD files have a .whd extension. Make sure the _whdload.hdf file is in the emulator directory (unzipped). (Keep an eye out for a WHD set from Wall based on Killer Gorilla's WHD sets).
That seems to be a great introduction, no?

A lot of work and patience have been necessary for this update considering the xbox limitations (64mb RAM, PIII 700mhz...).
This build offers a very stable experience (remember when the xbox freezes ?) which wasn't the case with the previous version released... three years ago. And this project isn't only about eye candy but also about user experience.
Also, we all know that the compatibility rate is already excellent for games. Even some AGA titles tend to be slow...

Please take time to read the change log and think before talking. This is not the first time I see you bitching about this subject here and there.
I'm disapointed. I expected more openness and you to be more constructive. You don't even give any single example of troubleshooting or any idea so we can try to find a fix or improve this port.
Why absolutely update this core ? Please be more specific.
But maybe you should try to update the core yourself ? But I'm not sure it's so easy.

At least show some respect.

And sorry guys for the intrusion. But I think you can understand...

By the way, for you xboxers:

alexh there's no new core but it seems like these guys have attacked lots of the bugs in the implementation of the 0.8.27 core, which is most welcome.
I don't think the can be a new core, the xbox is too old for anything post 0.8.27, by all accounts.
Things like not having df0 enabled if there's no image selected, little things, but all add up. I'm going to try it asap, thanks to all involved!

Ps waal hold on buddy this ain't 1emulation!

I'd love it if wiiuae got as good as winuaex.

The original xbox is still the daddy regarding emulation (obvisouly not including a pc).

I gave a load of feedback when the WinUAEx source code was originally released about how to fix the border emulation. Regularly the border colour is wrong. This was an un-emulated feature in that version of WinUAE which was fixed later. I isolated the change and I *think* I posted the diff and never got any feedback. I wasn't really expecting any at the time as no-one was working on it.

I've been specific before, not to the code level but listed some games and demos worst affected and listed (where I could find) the change log in the different releases of WinUAE where these things are identified as fixed.

Yeah I figured it out, I had to mount the _whdload.hdf file in WinUAE then transfer over my key then ftp it back to my xbox.

I got myself the version from snesorama. However, inspite of being written that all games have been repackaged as one file per game, mine are multiple zips per game if the game is multidisk. This leads to most extra stuff (screenshots, videos,...) is only shown for a couple of (1 disk) games. Does anyone know how to get this to work (without zipping the stuff myself) or if there a different package floating around?

I get rather annoyed at links that are posted where you have to register in order to view it. Especially when the email addresses are then sold to spammers.., already shown that to be the case with a few forums (Not eab.)

Post the contents here please.
