Airsoft CD32 Install Kit - Now Freeware

The CD32 Install Kit from Airsoft Software is now Freeware... I just wondered if anyone had any experience using it...

It can be downloaded from the Airsoft Software Homepage - downloads - old archive section... or click here

You will also need to download the NewInstaller v1.7 from the same page.

The author states that it is now freeware and no longer supported.

"Hi Peter,

yes, the Install Kit is now available as Freeware from my homepage because
I've no longer time to maintain it.

Greets,

Andreas"

There are some other interesting things in this download section as well - it's worth a look...

I always thought this was a Total Rip Off for £15 and said to the author this should be freeware.

However as a freeware utility is quite exceptable and allows easy installation of CD32 games including games that need the CD.Device and assigning NV_location.
Also as CD32 games will run quite nicely on a 2mb machine could be quite handy

Looks like other things are freeware as well... Da Cool Patcher, DaCool Installer...

Also if you haven't tried it download the "Gloom Deluxe window Patch" - I remember this, it lets you play Gloom Deluxe in a window on Workbench - it looks really cool and you don't need a graphics card...

Something tells me Akiko is freeware now too. It's also disappeared from the order page.

The Airsoft CD32 Install Kit is to help install CD32 games on A1200

Pinball Dreams - unfortunately the game requires a keyboard to be played
Horace would be a good candiate im sure for patching this to use the CD32 pad, I dont know if anyone is working on this, it has been requested many times.

North & South is another that would be fanastic on the CD32 pad as it also requires specific keys. Although I've got a keyboard now anyway hooked up to my CD32 (and the analogic discdrive to play the original disc on )... plus I've already bugged Horrace about a CD32 version of the game! lol

A little old theme, but I have a question today, relevant as 12 years ago.

I installed this application, and I wonder, once I install the game with it, can I run it without CD?
I am using ISO mounter to install the game. But there is no button other than "Emulator" which can run the game, as far as I can see?
