HEY HEY! TIme to get extra posts!! YEAH, Marz syndrome is back !
I'll post 200 replies here, but as the moderators hate me, they will delete this thread, and my posts will get low again. But you guys never delete the posts of the l33t of EAB , etc etc. I think the World Cup championship did something wrong with my head |

sorry about that, I clicked reply but I obviously started a new thread by mistake. We were discussing games that can be installed on to an emulated harddisk without using WHD LOAD.
So can any suggest a place where i can such games, I know that back to the roots have a few. |

@Ricky55: May I suggest Tomtoms Amiga HD-Games???
http://tomtoms.amiga-spiele.net/ @Akira: he suffered a "Marz Syndrome" attack. He was not really him, as he thinks he is the Unnamed Marz One. |

HD Games + Tomtom's
While we're all (wisely) recommending Tomtom's excellent site, I must point out that Ricky55 expressed a need for HD games that don't use WHDLoad. Many of the games on Tomtom's site use WHDLoad.
@Ricky55: It really isn't that fiddly to use, you know, and really quite handy to have. Run me through the exact problem again, please? We can fix it, honest. @Fissuras: |

The good thing on TomToms site is, that the WHDLoad Version working with that versions comes within the archiv, so no need to install it first, just unpack it to HD and you are ready to go

one of the best place was Spokyz but he closed his WWW access due to lot of abuse.
You can find lot of Codetapper WHDLoad install games at http://zap.to/action few at Bored Seal Page : http://bored.webzdarma.cz/Index-Amiga.html Jean-François Fabre page : http://jffabre.free.fr/amiga/patches.html and check links on each page and don't forget to check http://www.whdload.de links. |

And another site posted by Tomtom himself:
http://www.gandimann.de @blackcornflake: I agree with Retroman, I guess the problem here is to install the game, and at Tomtoms the games are ready to be used!!!! |

True, true.
But I still think it unfortunate that someone be prematurely turned off using a utility to its full extent due to some easily remedied problem, thereby limiting the range of games they can use. What if Ricky55's all-time favourite isn't on any of these sites? :hoo da blackcornflake says: "If you give a man a fish, he eats today. If you teach a man to fish, he eats fish whenever da hell he wants". Pretty deep, eh? :smoking |

Even on WinUAE Akira? I've a bit on it's use with an Amiga itself,(ie:unzip lha put in C/Devs/ whatever blah blah.), but I haven't yet seen anything much related to unzipping the lha in Windows, how to get it seen on your "virtual Amiga hardisk",& then being able to access the file/what to do in WinUAE.
But of course,I might have been too slack-butted to try & find the right places to look How many WHDload users use it in WinUAE? |

Yes, I use WHDLoad via WinUAE, installing and using it is just the same as you would on a real Amiga.
But I must point out that about 30-40% of the patched games I try are not compatible with WinUAE :-( I've got a couple of hundred on my hard disk which are compatible, and maybe a hundred good ones on CD-ROM which aren't. I'm curious as to why you would prefer the native AmigaDOS games, any reason in particular? Try http://www.users.bigpond.com/james.jacobs/abandon.html There are a few HD-installed games there, and also links to every known HD-installed Amiga games site (about 15 or so, I think). Also I found a site the other day called Gandimann which is really good, I haven't added it to the links yet, but you can get there via Tom-Tom's links page. (Can't remember the URL at the moment.) |
