Cheap PPC pci board
Did anyone ever think of making a driver for something like this?
https://secure1.sonnettech.com/produ...ad7701679f6d61 Would it actually be possible? compared to the blizzard ppc its very cheap, plus it would be much easier to find memory for it. |

I know absolutely nothing about how to make a driver, or any other kind of amiga programing for that matter.
Just thought it would open up for some very cheap upgrades of cpu and memory ![]() I guess a lot of people would be interested in getting a g4 ppc at 400 mhz for around 100 euros including 512 mb of memory ![]() |

The two cards do look very similar. But i still do not know how to adapt the driver if i got my hands on it. I do not have a mediator PCI either ![]() So for me to invest in it, i would kind of have to know that i could make it work ![]() |

The reason it was never released probably has something to do with the Mediator not being compatible.

It stated that the voltage problem should easily be fixed, so that should be the least of the problems. I can see on the pictures as well that there are an empty space for a voltage regulator. isn't it possible that that space is for a regulator to fix this problem? |

Something as mundane as a voltage problem is not something that would be considered a show stopper in that project. The incompatibilities are far deeper.
