Problem with Holiday Lemmings 1993 / WHDLoad

I get the following error when trying to boot this:

Function 'resload_loadFileDecrunch' called with illegal file specification 'PROGDIR:OSEmu.400'.
Must not start/end with '/' and must not cotain '//' or ':'.

Anybody seen this error before?

Did you install it yourself or download it?

Same problem with the preinstalled version and ClassicWB on WinUAE here

Try with an earlier/later WHDLoad?

Its later whd versions that caused this. I assume the hange was for the better, but there were casualties

Citadel is another one that broke with a similar error. There maybe more, but would need testing every game.

Sorry have I opened a can of worms

So looking at the error I guess the issue is that the current install of the game needs OSEmu to run. So do we just have to wait for somebody else to do a version that runs without it? Is it difficult?

You can use WHDLoad 16.8 for now to play it. You should also make a proper bug report on the Mantis bugtracker.

Try this out. Youll still need Osemu.400 in the games data folder. May have other issues, but is stop gap until an updated slave is done.

It works with 16.9, but with 16.8 you didn't need OSEmu.400 in the data folder. Anyway, thanks for the temp slave Matt
