Possible to autorun different filter settings for each WHDLoad game?
Is it possible to run different WinUAE filter/config settings for each WHDLoad game from inside an emulated Amiga?
Maybe an icon setting or a pref file call?? The reason I ask is, I like all the games to fill the screen, and most games require different filters settings to accomplish this. While I do save each individual filter by game name, it can be tiresome to "load" each filter for every separate game. |

Tried autoscale filtering setting? It should work quite nicely with most games.
If you want manual filters: you can use uae-configuration program to change configuration settings inside emulation. |

Thx for the fast reply!!
I'll try the autoscale function when I find it and I'll try to figure out the uae-configuration program in relationship to WHDLoad. |

With autoscale, keep aspect ratio and force 16x9, works like a charm!!
Thx much Toni! ** EDIT ** Ok, after testing, the autoscale function works great for most games, but a few don't fill out the screen. I see that upon running uae-configuration in a shell, it lists the various emulator settings. I assume I can change them line by line, but is there a fast way to call upon an existing filter setting or config file? And if not, maybe a guide for using the uaeconfiguration program? I'll keep messing with it till I figure it out or give up :P Last edited by Casublett; 31 March 2010 at 21:24. |

OK...
After much playing around, I have MOST of it figured out, but not all. For my example, I'll use the WHDLoad game of Agony by Psygnosis. I added this line to the icon/information settings: ExecuteStartup-uae-configuration gfx_filter_horiz_zoom -121 gfx_filter_vert_zoom -16 gfx_filter_vert_offset -17 Works perfectly! A problem remains however... If I want to add a variable for the "horiz_offset" setting, the text entry line doesn't have the space left to enter the whole (gfx_filter_horiz_offset "x") string. So I started a new entry below the above line, and those entries are ignored. Any suggestions? Last edited by Casublett; 31 March 2010 at 23:00. |
