As far as I know there is no v2 MiniMig board to buy today.
A 3rd party person called illuwatar created several re-factors of the v1.1 MiniMig board, including the MiniMig ITX but I dont think any ever went on general sale. Despite the use of the number 2 in the names these are only re-works of the v1.1 PCB and offer nothing new. Stay clear. http://www.illuwatar.se/project_page...g2/minimig.htm A 3rd party person called FrenchShark created a completely new FPGA board with a much larger FPGA which reportadly can take the MiniMig design. However it is not on general sale and there has been no word on price or anything for weeks. http://www.arcaderetrogaming.com/2.html A 3rd party called MikeJ of FPGAArcade created a completely new FPGA board called Replay board with a MUCH larger fpga. Again reportadly can take the MiniMig design but this is not on general sale either. http://www.fpgaarcade.com/ Finally there is the DE1, DE2 and DE3 boards by Terasic. These are commercial FPGA boards available for several years and have slightly bigger FPGA's but they have to integrate the cpu. The MiniMig core was ported to them by the great Tobiflex aka Tobias Guebner. However they are very expensive and only have 10-bit VGA colour (not even good enough for OCS/ECS let alone AGA) http://www.terasic.com.tw/cgi-bin/pa...=English&No=30 Last edited by alexh; 21 July 2009 at 19:19. |
