Free AMOS Books

Rather than putting this in the recycling bin - does anyone want them? Just pay postage (£2.24 within the UK)

Easy AMOS User Guide. Ring-bound book, a bit tatty but certainly good enough to read.

Let me know - I'll be binning this after the weekend if nobody wants it.

Yes, I'll post to Canada - but beware, these books weight a bloody TON so will no doubt cost a fortune to post. I'll weight them tonight and come back to you with the postage costs tomorrow. Do you want both copies of the Amos Game Makers Manual?

Amiga Game Maker's Manual by Stephen Hill would be interesting to read, and, of course, one could always use a replacement user guide for the one i have that is falling apart from overuse!

@ pbareges - sounds good. I ask, because i very rarely see anybody else create any "output" from AMOS these days, but all this stuff seems to disappear so quickly!

Hi Hungry Horace,

I have the Amiga Game Maker's Manual by Stephen Hill.

Where are you (when you're not in the pspuae chatroom)?

Would you like to borrow it (just to read)?

hi prowler, that's a very kind offer.

funnily enough, i'm another one in Kent - a trip down the A20 in Maidstone myself

skateblind has informed me he is likely to be scanning his copy of the book, which should help us all in the long term, (like the User Guide, it would be nice to see another book kept digitally) but i would quite appreciate the chance to have a read through a physical copy.

I will be scanning some of the original official AMOS newsletters, there are beginner articles in all of them which would be a great resource for beginners. The Amiga Game Makers Manual is probably the best book I have seen concerning AMOS.

Does anyone know if there were any books on AMOS Pro? I have only seen ones based on the Original AMOS.

Ever since getting a copy of Easy Amos with Amiga Computing 81 (Xmas 1994) I've always wanted to get into programming but I just didn't know where to start and being the only one in my neighbourhood who had an Amiga there really wasn't any where else to turn to :P

I'll see if I can get the time to start but if not I'd be happy to pass it on for nout, if willmorton is happy to send me his copy.

Bad news - the combined weight of the three books you want come to just under 2.5kg, which Parcelforce Worldwide are quoting as costing £44.99 to post to Canada. Let me know if you want to pay this - I fully understand if you don't! Let me know, because it seems there are others interested in the books if you can't take them.
