Wireless keyboard for CD32
I`ve just got myself a PC-Key 1200 keyboard interface that I intend to fit in my CD32.
It would be nice to have a small wireless keyboard to use, are there any that would work or am I stuck with an old AT/PS2 wired keyboard ? |

Errrm, you've lost me, PC-Key will not work on a CD32. There is no where for it to plugin to. PC Key plugs into a ribbon type connector, not a din socket.

Hmmm, well you know more than me but I was led to believe that it is the same as the Lyra which will fit in a CD32, the same way as it fits into a A1200, into the keyboard socket - and has a trailing wire with a AT keyboard socket on the end. - It certainly looks the same.

PC-Key 1200 will not work with CD32. It is an A1200 specific Internal keyboard adapter.

You needed a Lyra II 4000 which is an External keyboard adapter Last edited by alexh; 18 June 2009 at 09:47. |

Well all is not lost,
I can use it in my A1200, this is stuck in a cabinet which does not directly face the TV, so I can now use a PC keyboard on my knee ! ( I take it this will work ? ) |

This is really intended to be an A1200T addon.
Not sure, but I think it may render the A1200's own keyboard non functional. Plus you've got to get the cable out of the desktop case somehow.. (through the SCSI connector slot?) |

Yeah, it will make the A1200 keyboard non-functional - but will make playing those old text adventures a lot more comfortable as I can`t move my Miggy from where it is, and using it whilst looking at the TV gives me a bad back ! I`ll figure out a way to get the socket out of the case. So hopefully this duff purchase of mine will have a good use !
It`s all part of the Amiga learning curve ! ( Which will probably lead to mucho money spent, lots of un necessary expansions, big tower case and even more Pi**ed off wife ! |
