What are all the other required files?

Hi,

Just installed Winuae, got workbench all partitioned etc but I think there's still a fair few things missing.

What are the additional files required to get things running? I get loads of popups saying I need this and that etc?

Also, how do you get the icons to be fully coloured? at the moment they're just grey and blue etc.

Al help greatly appreciated!

Hi RabidRabbit,

the most important thing is that you point WinUAE to your kickstart images. Go to the path window and choose the right path for 'System ROMs' When you've done that there should be no more popups. If they still show up please post a screenshot or write what they say.

Thanks for the info.

I've got all the ROMS setup fine, no problem there. I'm at work at the moment so I can't get access to the other popups but there are one or two which keep arising. I just though there were some additional files I might need to copy over.

For example, I can;t run the media player at all without some popup showing.

Media player? Then you mean Gamebase right?

I think its just a winamp style thing.

Actually, quick question.

With a file name ending in .run, is it the same procedure for running it i.e. just copy it into C and use cli?

So it's inside the emulation? Bit hard to follow if you don't tell where you are when a popup appears Maybe you can post the name of the app and the error (or warning) it gives you. I'm sure there is a way to make it disappear.

So, when trying to run Amplifier in OS3.9 I get the following message:

"Unable to open 'openpci.library' version 1"

Then, after clicking cancel I get 'Couldn't open AHI device V4!

Anyone know what the reason is?

Cheers in advance!

You sure you used official AmigaOS installation media and not something made for Amithlon etc..
