Detroit AGA-Save problems

Love this game.just one problem,i cant seem to save game on it.im not sure if its a bug or not.when i save the game,it asks me to insert a saved game disk.so i insert a blank floppy,it reads it,but does nothing else.the disk is correctly formatted and stuff.personally i thought it was stupid as well since you could install the game on the hard disk.any help from former players of this game would be appreciated!.

Detroit uses a custom (in-game made?) save disk. Try the Back2roots save disk:

I have done that. But it would still ask me for the save disk.So i assume you cant, unless you mod code/assignments i guess?

I would assume that saving should work fine in the DOS installed AGA version. What disks exactly have you installed. There are different TOSEC dumps.

You could tinker with these disks.

Solved-not sure if its a bug in game or something. For the option of trying anything *since it said you cant run it from floppy which had me thinking the manual was probably written for pc version anyway*.I ran the game from the floppy, and i was able then to save the game onto a blank floppy disk by putting it in and clicking the right mouse button and it saved. So i wonder was it a bug in the game that was overlooked?

I think its just a regular blank disk.I forgot all about this thread. When i upgraded to 3.1 kickstart,i was then able to save the game onto a floppy or hard drive

I see. So maybe you still have this game installed onto HDD and can upload it somewhere
or to The Zone? Beacuse I installed from adfs from planetemu and game show me monit to
put savegame disk and I cannot skip it. Floppy ECS version booted from adfs under WinUAE
save file but only when name EMPTY is used and after this game freeze ;/ Can you test it a
working way to savegames in AGA or ECS version when game is installed onto HDD? T.I.A.
