laserdisc control floppies
I have got the Laserdiscs "Dragon's Lair" and "Thayer's Quest" in PAL.
I also have the interface cable and some LD players. But I miss the floppy disks which contain the control software from the company Software Corner. Has somebody these can email me images from it? Any help would be greatly appreciated PS: are there any other LDG which have worked via the Amiga? |

I think he wants to hook up the LD player to his Amiga.
Sounds interesting. I know there were some arcade games that ran off of an Amiga 500-based laserdisc system. IIRC one of the games was a western-themed shooter called Mad Dog McCree? Hmm, yes: http://www.mameworld.net/maws/driverinfo/alg.c Here is a page about the same system at the Dragons Lair project page: http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/tech/pages/alg.asp wepl - this guy has the software you're looking for (scroll to the bottom of the page) try to contact him: http://www.dragonslairfans.com/emula...ir/emulate.htm Last edited by Sune Salminen; 27 November 2007 at 23:33. |

AmigaVision can be used to control LDs with the right lead connected between the Amiga and LD player. I believe its by serial control.

Ok Cool thanks for the links so basicly it just tells the LD what video tracks to play - hypothetically a device controling a DVD Remote - pointed at the DVD could do the same but games like Dragon's Lair and Mad Dog do these use a Genlock?

There was (a long time ago) a video editing program (sorry can't remember the name even though I used it) that could also control VCRs by means of either a control lead hard wired into the VCR from the Amiga or could have a magic wand on the end of a lead and control the VCR by remote signals
