WTB: Accelerator for A3000
Looking for a accelerator for an A3000. Would prefer an 060 Cyberstorm.

Cyberstorms are very expensive and IMO have a low bang-4-buck.
I would consider looking for / getting an A3640 accelerator in the short term, perhaps get one and replace the 68040 for an L88M revision which overcomes the heat issues of the A3000D case. You'd be talking about $80 If you need one with RAM, then a WarpEngine 040 is the best bang-for-buck at about $250. Remember that when fitting an Accelerator with a SCSI module into the A3000D you may have to perform the INT2 modification for it to work. Last edited by alexh; 22 October 2007 at 15:09. |

If you are lucky enough to own an A3000T you could always consider a QuikPak 4060.
Originally for the A4000T, I *think* it fits in the A3000T also. While quite rare, it is undervalued because it physically doesnt fit in the A3000D or A4000D |

You know if Binox sees that Quickpack he will be hunting one down till the end of time... interesting card though... i wonder how easy it would be to put the extra components for SCSI-II ? hmmm boot rom might be hard to find though. |
