Memory Addressing Architecture
Hiyas Forum Fiends (ahem i mean friends)
Okay I have been having a ponder (as Zetr0's do) and a query has entered my mind. could anyone confirm or debunk this analysis. CPU MAA (16bit - 24 bit and 32 bit) The 68000 use a 16bit memory addressing structure? The 020's & 030's use a 24bit memory adressing structure ? *was there some that used 32bit ?* The 040's and 060's use a full 32bit adressing structure? I appreciate the help

Don't know what MAA means but besides that, all 68Ks have 32bit internal addresses.
The 68000 and 010 have 24 adress lines external and a 16bit data bus. The 68ec020 have 24 address lines and a 32bit data bus and the 68020 and above have the complete 32 address lines. |
