Dune - old file-based WHDLoad patch

This used to be over at http://jffabre.free.fr/amiga/whdloaders/, which doesn't exist anymore. Anyone still have this?

It's different to the modern diskfile version? By way of using the game's own data files post-HD-install?

*sigh* It's significantly different from the diskimage version, ok? I just thought it'd be nice to use. Also it should take up less space, I tend to believe.

Well, iirc I read over at the WHDload FAQ that filebased patches work much better on systems with tight memory (such as the CD32) because you can avoid preloading unnecessary files and it's easier for the program to preload them in an efficient manner or something. THAT is in itself a reason to if possible avoid WHDload patches that use disk images if you ask me

That's not the reason he wants it though. Methodgit doesn't actually USE any of the files he keeps requesting. He just hoardes the "rarities" because they are no longer available.

He's doing it a LOT recently.

Wrong, KG. I happen to have this on my webspace:

http://www.renegadedebaser.com/Amiga/

A place where I usually store anything that's dead hard to get hold of again, for everyone to benefit from. Granted, I haven't had the opportunity to update it with more stuff recently but I will get round to that.

hehe marz, you change reason why you want the files every second. If you wanted it for your "special files" page, tell me. No need to talk about smaller files, faster this and that etc..
