A PCMCIA FastMem card (unless i can use a CF/PCMCIA adpater) or A CPU + Fast Mem combo Happy to pay reasonable prices but if your interested I have a lot of Amiga stuff so if there is somthing your looking for, I may be able to help ![]() |

I also got myself recently A600 which I want to upgrade a little bit. Since accelerators are too expensive (coze gave perfect example) for me, I decided to go the other way. I bought 2Mb PCMCIA ram card off ebay for £11+pp. The same guy sells same cards almost all the time and I saw that sometime they go for around £7. I can PM you the seller ID.
Now I'm looking, first locally, for 1Mb chip expansion; and after that I'll put CF hard. |

CF cards cannot be configured as RAM.
2Meg Chip, 4Meg PCMCIA SRAM Fast and a CF IDE adapter (or 2.5" hard drive) is the best you can do for an A600 with no accelerator. If you are MAD you could also add a DCTV |

On Compaq card says flash ram, so it's no good becouse it can be written for limited number of times - same as Compact Flash cards.
The Epson card should work, it says it has battery so it isn't flash ram. Zetr0 PM sent |

Epson card will work, it is a PCCARD which means it is a PCMCIA Type I or Type II and so compatible.
But why not hold out for a 4Mbyte one? P.S. I recommend that you watch who you are bidding against on ebay, just in case they are eab users. I've noticed several people from here outbidding each other recently. I think it is only courtesy to try to avoid auctions with other eab users and just wait for the next one, no point in artificially driving up already mad prices. Last 4Mb card I saw on ebay went for £26 - IMHO thats too expensive.
Anyway with 2Mb chip + 2Mb fast you can run almost all WHDLoad games that work on A600 (since it is not AGA). And that is what Zetr0 said he wants to do. |

@Alexh
I am tempted to hold out for a 4MB one, but for two things... 1. I can get a a 2MB one now ![]() 2. £26 is a little pricey However this being said If i find a 4MB one i will just sell on my 2MB one most likely here for my forum chums ![]() I have to admit I always look at the bidders on auctions that i bid on for two reasons 1. ascertain whom I am up agasint (noobs vs seasoned ebayers) 2. incase I am bidding on the item that you are alexh! LMAO!!! (just going to point out thats happened twice i think my friend.) Normally if i notice someone on here on fleabay i generaly avoid the auction as you say bidding wars are nothing but wrong especially amongst friends ![]() @cane Thanks for your help cane, i put a bid in *fingers crossed eh?* |

I got my Zorro GFX card off a friend when I was working for Argonaut Software so it wont be that.
I did once buy off ebay a DKB3128 which is happy in my A4k (although it only says it has 64Meg when it has 128!). The only accelerator thing I have bid on in the last couple of years was an Xcalibur (A3640 RAM upgrade), but a LONG time ago I bought a broken Cyberstorm MKIII with the intention of repair (which is now broken again) |
