can i use a 1200 power supply to power a 500?
Might be getting an A500 so I'm wondering if I need to buy another power supply or if the one I've got with my 1200 will work fine.

The A1200 one should work fine.
Is it a brick psu or a light psu? |

I think it's a brick, but to be honest, I'm not sure what the difference is between the two.

The A500 PSU is weaker than the A1200 one, but I don't know if it's a problem.

errr.. sorry ncafferkey, i am going to have to disagree with you there. as far as i am aware the a500 psu pumps out 35watts where as the basic a12 psu pumps out only 25watts. you can get a goliath psu that thumps out a whopping 130 watts or modify a pc psu and the skys your limmit on those...

I can't believe I wrote that! I meant to say the opposite. I use an A500 PSU myself on my A1200. Thanks for pointed out my error.
