Modifying 3.1 rom

I found this

It makes possible modify kickstart, i just can't figure out how to use it.

Would be nice to add new featturs to kickstart.

I acctually have 3.1 rom, but i haven evert get them work with my apollo 040 accellator, i have to use remapollo to load 3.1 roms.

With softkicking modifyed kickstart could be usefull.

If someone could give some hints?

Looks promising. But I wonder if it is worth the hassle. I don't really mind the one extra reboot my machine does.

My amiga does 2 extraboots, first remapollo second 3.9 roms.

But my opinion is you right about those boots it doesn't matter. Important is that is possible load cd-rom drivers, makes possible to boot from cd, load pirus's experimental /faster excec or modify any excisting part of kickstart, put allmoust anything to kickstart.

With remapollo they will survive reset, means boot computer, remapollo check is rom allready loaded, if its it doesn't do anything.

I've been spoiled by the Kickflash in my A4000. Instead of taking 30+ seconds to boot I'm back down to about 11. This looks like a good tool.

Looks like a BIG mess

Years ago I used applypatch (comes with blizkick ) to create a 3.1 Rom with new exec and various fixes and improvements.
For my A1200+Blizzard1230 Id prefer adding a single line in startup-sequence than having such a wire-mess (the first reboot takes less than 5 seconds)
