Humans 2 - The Jurassic Levels

Hey guys,

Just wonder if anybody has a cracked .adf of "Humans 2 - Jurassic Levels"?

I searched the web (including Planetemu) but been unable to find it anywhere. Would like this to have all 3 in the series...

Hey guys,

Found that this is in Twistin' Ghost's MIA Master List (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=5249).

Did a search through but doesn't look like it's been found yet. Is this correct?

Cheers Retro-Nero. I actually already have the .ipf but of course it has password protection...

I've searched everywhere on the web for a manual but haven't been successful...

I have the original, and the manual - will scan it when I get a chance. My version is the Gametek release ('Humans 2: The Jurassic Levels' (not 'Human Race: The Jurassic Levels') has got different loading screens to the caps/sps versions (which is the Mirage release titled 'Human Race: The Jurassic Levels').

I've also made extended adfs of the game which work under emulation, but the manual is still required, although I can Zone the disks if anyone wants them. All disks contain long tracks.

Fiath/IFW - have you had a chance to check the dumps of my version yet?

Hello Galaxy,

That would be so cool if you could post the .adf files and scan the manual. Thank you so much.

All in the Zone - enjoy!

Might be a good candidate for a whd install given that there does not seem to be any cracked versions in circulation...

Thank you so much again Galaxy. I really appreciate all the effort you've gone to with both creating the extended .adf files and also the tedious scanning of the 40+ manual pages.

You've made my day...

Hey guys,

Got home this evening and did some testing...

Basically I loaded the following versions and took screen shots (see attached):

1. "Humans (ipf)"
2. "Human Race: Jurassic Levels (ipf)"
3. "Humans 2: Jurassic Levels (alternate Gametek intro provided by Galaxy)"
5. "Humans (cr CLS)"
4. "Humans (cr PDX)"

FINDINGS:

They all had the same password (Darwin) for the first stage (named Cave)...

As you can see from the attached screen shots "Human Race: Jurassic Levels (ipf)" + "Humans 2: Jurassic Levels (alternate Gametek intro provided by Galaxy)" + "Humans (cr PDX)" say "Follow the light at the top!" therefore are the same game...

"Humans (ipf)" + "Humans (cr CLS)" say "Discover the spear!" therefore are the same game...

CONCLUSION:

The version "Humans (cr PDX)" is really a cracked "Human Race: Jurassic Levels". It's just named incorrectly...

The good news is that this means that cracked versions of both Humans 1 and 2 are available for download from PlanetEmu:

i.e "Humans (cr CLS)" is Humans, "Humans (cr PDX)" is Human Race: Jurassic Levels...

Very interesting hey?

Many thanks to Galaxy for providing the manual so that I could do all this testing. Also, many thanks to Galahad/FLT who cracked the alternate Gametek intro version.

Then you might like to hear that I just sent a WHDLoad patch for Humans 2/Human Race to Wepl! Should be available on the WHDLoad site soon. Made this patch because I got a mail from Ungi last week where he requested it. Enjoy!

Stingray, would you agree to add to the install the french release ?

Note that there is a sort of file corruption on the game menu, could you repair it with the english release ?

thank you !

If you have an original supporting the french version is no problem at all.

Most probably, shouldn't be much of a problem. I'd need to have a look at the french release first though before I can give a definite answer.

Is it a fully French translated version, or only a French release with English text?

for information, that's why the french release is still not IPFied. i have here 2 boxed copies of the french release, and both have the same graphic corruption :'(

If only SPS could correct or repair the game in order to get a correct version for preservation...Oh well time will see
