Aladdin AGA

Hello guy,

I'm new to this board (in fact just joined today).

I used to own an Amiga 500 with upgraded memory until it broke...

I love Amiga computers, definitely an awesome piece of equipment. I guess that's why we are all here...

About 2 years ago I discovered WinUAE and have had the pleasure of bring back loads of fond memories...

Anyway, onto my question. The last version of WinUAE I was playing with was v8.0.22 9. Here I had Aladdin (AGA) working. I have just recently downloaded the latest version V1.0.0, which I must say is totally wicked...

Only problem is I just can't get Aladdin to work even though I'm using the same configuration. The problem is that when Aladdin loads it gets past the Prodigy crack screen, displays Disney but then asks to re-insert Disk 1. I've tried this but it doesn't work...

Has anybody else seen this? Does anybody know how to get Aladdin working correctly in v1.0.0.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Firstly welcome aboard may I suggest you read the forum rules located in the faq! (then you'd know not to type your name in your posts and instead cofigure the http://eab.abime.net/usercp.php

Right onto your main question.. try using the standard a1200 quickstart option in v1 of winuae

Thank you for the welcome, your advice, and for the solution with Aladdin. I was playing around with the configuration last night and got it working successfully. My problem was that I had selected "Cycle exact CPU and Blitter" from Under "Chipset". Changed this to "Fast copper" and everything worked...
