Slow boot

Hello,

When I set WinUAE with fullscreen/fullscreen RTG display, my workbench takes a very long time to boot... The HD LEDs do not even flash. Yet, when I use window mode, the HD LEDs would flicker and workbench would boot in a very short time. Any ideas?

My setup is Windows XP. And, I am using the latest version of WinUAE (0.9.92)

Thanks in advance.

perhaps it to do with the fact that in a window you are booting a native screen size , but full screen requires the display to RTG [retarget] which comes later in the load sequence , on a real Amiga this RTG mode causes two different boots to take place and useally displays an RTG image [screen backdrop type] to hide the extra waiting period .

Possibly this is a revision that may follow , there again Old woody Knows little of EMU

Only real miggies

Thanks for your reply woodshed57..

My bad.. I just renamed my old WinUAE configuration file, and reconfigured WinUAE. It seems to start lightning quick now - much faster than my real a4000, too..
