Amiga websites that weren't
I've started this thread so we can all remember those (classic) Amiga websites that unfortunately are no longer with us, that is they have died.
Any info about why the site died & what it used to contain will be most appreciated. Screenshots or any other materials would be a bonus. I'll start....... www.superfrog.co.uk A site that promised everything, yet delivered nothing except for some horrible flash buttons and a crappy interview. This site disappeared as quickly as it appeared and a fuller story can be found in a EAB forum. www.lemonamiga.com Whilst the domain is still active viewers are presented with some self-centered "blame everyone else but me" message put there by the webfuhrer. Now clearly the author had done quite a bit of work on this site but either due to his lack of patience or a few problem users (or both) he decided to can the project before it really took off. Some may argue that the main problem was launching the forum before he launched the site. It looked promising but like a typical Ocean movie tie-in, it delivered nothing. Any more sites you guys can think of ? |

Dave's Hardware page
was nothing special and just had some text explaining how to overclock certain Amigas using different frequency crystals... which I now have... but the page has died. Also had some usefull information on mods that Dave came up with which I can't seem to find on Aminet. This page did have a mirror done by one of Daves mates when his site was closing... but I can't find it... |

This would have been a nice thread if it didn't have the Lemon stuff...
