How should a USB drive be formatted for GoTek?
I bought a GoTek and external floppy adapter so I could transfer files between my Amiga4000 (not connected to the Internet) and my MacBook Pro (which is).
When I connect a 4 Gb USB drive to the GoTek/floppy adapter it shows up as an unreadable df2: How should I format the drive so it will be recognized by my AmiKit installation on my MacBook Pro, in Amiga format, Mac format, or even PC format? |

Gotek only supports FAT32 IIRC

Yes, I formatted the drive FAT32, but the Amiga doesn't recognize it (what's IIRC)?

Yes, I do. I wonder what their default formatting is when plugged into a Mac (where I use them).
How should a property-formatted USB drive appear on an OS 3.9 desktop? |

What firmware does Gotek have? Flashfloppy or HXC ?
Did you download the required files to the flash drive ? In what mode do you want to access the floppy disk images using GOTEK ? |

The seller said it had "the latest firmware".
I'm not sure what you mean by "In what mode do you want to access the floppy disk images using GOTEK ?" ADF or the original file format? Anyway, dziekuge! |

OK, so it's really not even seen as a floppy, although it's
connected to the floppy port. But since there's an ADF on the USB drive (I don't know what an HFE is) how can I see it if the drive itself isn't visible? |

If you got a Gotek with FlashFloppy, you will need AUTOBOOT.HFE and the HXCSDFE.CFG for it to work ... not sure about the HxC one ... |

Thanks for the information about the two files. I found them on the Internet and copied them to the USB drive. However, when I booted up after inserting the USB drive into the GoTek slot, I still got the same error message, that df2: was unreadable.
