Can somebody HACK this File ? (Scumm Based)

Hi there.

I found this "Port" for Day of the Tentacle which works superbe on "Smaller Amigas"
http://amiga.h-plus-t.com/

It runs almost too well.

You see, this File FORCES the game into the "FAST" mode; but that is toooo fast

So i, or anybody else have to press RShift and G to set it back to normal.
Pretty annoying

Can somebody change this, so it starts in the Normal mode ?

That would be sick

I would upload my "Green T Funky Edition" ;
which has a totally new custom Soundtrack as a thank you

Greetings and thanks
Trti

Why not try NovaCoder's AGA port of DOTT instead?

there are 2 verions of P. Barèges porting: floppy version and Cd-ROM version.
CD version is complete of speech, musics and sound effects and normal speed.

Floppy version there are 2 version: OS 3.0 version require System Patch, OS 3.1 version requrie BlazeWCP (this one is accelerate in musics and graphics in cutscenes, but during the game the speed is normal)

That IS the version from P. Barèges

Where is the second version / the executable with the "normal speed"

Whats so cool about this version is that it runs REALLY fast even on "smaller Amigas" and it has the feature to play Protracker modules....

Thats why i made a custom "Green T Funky Edition"
(that i maybe upload one day)

DOTT never sounded better /funkier. (ok,except for the Remastered version)

Still, does anybody know where to get the P. Barèges executable with the "normal speed" ?

I have to press RShift&G everytime i start the game because otherwise its toooo fast

you should make a youtube video showing this acceleration.
but do you use real Amiga or WinUAE?. I tried with WinUAE and the speed is normal.

in the meanwhile i made some video: cd-rom version, OS3.0 version and OS3.1 version

What Version was shown in those videos ..?
( well i know, but i tell the people; if you dont mind )

Video 1 = the NovaCoder version
Video 2 & 3 is the P. Barèges version. (with stock midi protracker conversions .. yuck )

They all have exactly the same 3 bugs but P. Barèges version just runs the best
AND with the Protracker support its possible to make a (in my case) very funky soundtrack.

( i imagined how Green Tentacle and his band would have made the OST for it )

By the way the 3 BUGS are:

1) Right at the end of the intro, when DR.FRED tells Bernard for the very last time what things he should do, it freezes. (ESC fixes that and not much ist lost)

2) When asking EDNA whats so bad about Sleepwalking, the color pallete of the Text gets messed up and only a earlier Save will fix that (or you start a new game)

3) Same happends in the Past when Hoagie tells JOHN HANCOCK about the nice Turkey Picture
on the wall. Once again .. this triggers a Color corruption like in the case with Edna;
so DONT DO IT !!!

Same in Nova´s and Barèges version. (exactly the same)

I play Barèges version on the latest (not yet public) MiniMig Core.
(runs great, and better than Novas and with my custom Green T Funky Edition,
it sounds ... well, just so funky )

I am not on YouTube, sorry; but i may upload it at some point.
(maybe as at Christmas; for all the Tentakle lovers)

Until then; stay funky and maybe;
just maybe, somebody can hack the executable to run in normal mode.
