ALT-TAB problem in WinUAE 4.9.1

I've found a reproducible issue with WinUAE 4.9.1:
1. run WinUAE with RTG = Full-window (I use P96) and native = Fullscreen
2. on Windows desktop keep open for example NotePad
3. run emulation and at Workbench press ALT+TAB to switch back to Windows
4. now click on the WinUAE icon to go back to the Amiga emulation
5. press F12 and change Game ports > mouse speed to whatever you want and press RETURN to confirm and go back to emulation
at this point WinUAE window is unclickable and also WinUAE GUI with F12 is unresponsive...

(my cfg in signature)

I haven't been able to reproduce this. In the miscellaneous menu, which graphics API are you using? Do you have any filters applied? When you go back to WinUAE, are you using the taskbar or Alt+Tab?

You have to follow EXACTLY the steps as described.
I've just checked again in QuickStart A500 mode and I was able to reproduce it.
1. keep open on your desktop NotePad
2. run WinUAE in QuickStart A500 mode
3. ALT-TAB to Windows (will switch to NotePad)
4. click on the WinUAE icon in the Windows toolbar to go back to WinUAE
5. at this point try to open the GUI with F12
it should be unresponsive to mouse clicks etc.

I'm using NVidia drivers 512.96 SD (more about my HW config in signature), for WinUAE DX11 (HW) of course.

EDIT: mmmh, reproduced 3 times in a row, but now it doesn't happen anymore (???). Windows 21H1 (19043.1766) random issues with WinUAE input/mouse capture?

EDIT2: reproduced again!

New detailed repro steps:
1. keep open on your desktop NotePad
2. run WinUAE in QuickStart A500 mode
3. ALT-TAB to Windows (will switch to NotePad)
4. click on the WinUAE icon in the Windows toolbar to go back to WinUAE
5. at this point try to open the GUI with F12
6. open Game ports > Mouse extra settings > Mouse speed: xxx
7. enter something for mouse speed and press RETURN (will confirm and automatically close WinUAE GUI)
8. try to reopen the GUI with F12 at this point

it should be unresponsive to mouse clicks etc.
RETURN to confirm & close WinUAE GUI seems crucial to loose input control of the task.

I'm still on Windows7, but regardless of graphics API, fullscreen or not, RTG or not, I haven't had this issue. I have an nVidia card with 473.04 drivers.

In the past I had a few issues when switching from fullscreen back to Windows, but that was under XP. Sometimes the F12 UI would show up off-screen so I couldn't click anything.

Please, try again following EDIT2 steps... That way I can always reproduce it (checked also with DX9 mode).

I've had occasional issues with alt-tabbing out of 4.9.1 in a fullscreen RTG mode too, sometimes the mouse pointer disappears when I go back into it, sometimes the screen is just black, though if there's a second screen open on the Amiga side, flipping screens will restore the image. And sometimes a totally unresponsive lockup that means even the task manager shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) can't open the task manager, it can only be retrieved with Ctrl+Alt+Del. I'm on Windows 7 too. It's only an occasional thing and I haven't been able to consistently reproduce it so I haven't reported it.

Please check the repro steps in EDIT2 msg #3, and let me know, it works for me to reproduce the bug 100%.
The bug seems in the GUI itself, when finally pressing RETURN to confirm the value for mouse speed after ALT+TAB...

Log 'till it happened (QuickStart A500): https://www.toptal.com/developers/ha...uhemevebi.yaml
