Open source cross assembler for the Amiga?

I'm working on a compiler (http://cowlark.com/cowgol/); I want to add Amiga support. I already have 68000 support for the Atari ST, so producing Amiga binaries should just be a matter of hooking up the system calls and producing Amiga hunk binaries.

Can anyone suggest a --- preferably simple --- cross assembler I can use for this?

- needs to be proper open source code (MIT, BSD, GPL licensed).
- I can't use vasm (because the license doesn't allow it).
- I can't use GNU binutils (because it's far too big to build every time I do a test build on my CI system) (although if anyone knows of a precompiled Ubuntu PPA for this, that would be ideal --- that's what I'm using for the Atari ST).

I suppose I could write my own assembler, but ugh.

Are there any other assemblers out there people can point me at?

Thanks!
